death of the dream

I dont think that we will recover as quickly as we have in the past. I think that a lot of people that live in this area are stupid and they just want to keep spending money that they dont have and there not going to change the way they need to. They think that things will just go back to how they are, they like they always do, without working or changing anything.
The writer thinks that people need to create jobs for themselves. If they dont have degrees or they cant find work anywhere, then they need to make it happen themselves. In the article, it talks about a family that kills pigs, and sells them fresh to other immagrants and mexican families. As disgusting as that is, there a family thats making it work. They didnt go to college and earn a degree, they dont have a lot of options, but there using what they do have and making it work.
The people that are doing jobs like that and working for themselves, are risk takers. and in a time like this, its a scary thing to be taking risks but it's what needs to be done. And i agree with the writer on this. If there arn't any companies that are going to be hiring you, make it happen yourself. stop waiting around. As soon as people figure that out, save their money and start doing what they need to be doing, than i think we can get back to recovery.
