A new era of responsibility

President Obama made the remark that this is " a new era of responsibility". With Obama in control now, things will start changing nationally, locally and personaly. Our nation is going through difficult times , and its bringing out the best, and sometimes the worst, in the people of our country. I think that when President Obama made that statement, he meant that in this new era, things are changing. People are losing jobs, its hard to support a family, prices are going up and supply is going down. Its hard to find jobs and its easy to get laid off. So with all of these changes effecting each of us , its time for us to take on a new responsibility. We need to be able to spend our money and time wisely. We need to save what we have and spread it out so it can last. We need to change our lifestyles because the fact is, life isnt the same as it was 5 years ago.

As a nation, the shape that our economy is in right now causes problems for everyone, including large corporations. Large companies are going out of business because they cant make the money to pay their bills. They try to lower their prices, but that just means that they make less money, which means they have to lay off employees because they cant afford to give them a paycheck. which makes our economy fall because they dont have the money to afford anything.

This problem is not only effecting us a nation.Local businesses are not doing as good as they usually are. Locally owned businesses, which is what the majority of people in cottonwood have, are having to close their doors down. People that have supported these shops cant afford to spend their money anymore with prices going up. And this effects me personely because if i need a job, i cant find a place thats hiring. so this problem does not only effect us in one way, it effects everyone, in all different ways
