" Madness in great ones must not unwatched go"
In any age madness can take over someones life. Children, teens or grownups. Everyone goes through hard stuff in their lives, and some people cant handle it. The ones that cant handle it, do stuff that effect other people. Also known as going "mad". I think thats it is important for our society to watch these people. Get them help.
People that go mad can change lives of innocent people. And i think thats one of the biggest reasons that we need to watch them. It doesnt matter the age of the person, they can find a way to get it done. People end up killing other people, killing themselves or hurting others around them. Its a serious situation that needs to be looked at closley.
People that are unhappy at a young age grow up to do terrible things. They become killers and murderers. They steal, cheat, do things that normal people dont do. They dont have a concious to tell them right from wrong. There only looking out for themselves and they dont care who they hurt.

FINAL essay # 2
In most movies, the relationship between a stepparent and stepchild are not good. They're usually awkward around eachother, one of them does not get a long with the other, or they just dont agree with eachother. You rarley see a movie where the stepparent and kid are close. They probably over react in movies .I dont think that every relationship is like cinderella and her stepmother. Because her stepmom was just mean and i dont think everyone can be that mean.
I dont have any personnel expierience really with this. I have both of my parents and there still married so i dont have any step brothers or sisters. But my mom has a stepdad. But technically he was like her real dad. Her real dad was a really bad guy, and her mom, my grandma, remarried. She grew up with him there her whole life. They got a long. He was always there for her. It wasnt like any of those movies where the father and daughter dont get along.
Different people have different situations. In every family there are obstacles and barriers you need to overcome. But when you have people that are from two different families, theres even more that you need to work on. In some situation, it's two whole new families coming together, with new parents and also new kids. In those situations you need to learn to become more flexible and be able to work with the other people. I think that you need to be more patient and more understanding to. Both families need to be on the same page and know whats going on.
Although there are disadvantages with new situations like this, there could also be advantages. You get to meet new people. You can get double the money and presents as before, because you have twice as many parents. Yoy have more people that could love you. You can get closer to your real parents because you get to spend more time with them. I think that there could be as many if not more advantages as disadvantages in this kind of a situatuion.
Although i dont have any expirience with this , i think i have an ok understanding of it. Im thankful that i dont have to go through any of it with my family. I think it's important for married people to work through hard situations so there kids dont have to go through having stepparents. In some cases things like that just happen though. There are lots of obstacles to work at but in the end, they can be overcome.

Thinkker/ Doer
I think im a thinker and a doer, depending on the situation. A lot of the time i get stuff done, but then sometimes i just think about stuff that i would like to do, and never get around to it, or chicken out and dont do it.
In some situations i know that i need to get stuff done. for example, in sports, when i know i need extra practice, i do it. or In school, when i know i need to get my homework done i do it.But on the other hand when it come to other stuff i just think about it and dont really do it. Like if it has to do with a guy, or if i want to fight somebody, i just think about it.
So all in all i dont think that im a thinker or a doer, I think im a thinker and a doer. And i believe that that evens everything out pretty well.

parents and kids
I think that there is a certain extent to which parents should 'spy' on their kids. First i dont think that they should spy on their kids at all. I think that they need to have an open enough relationship that they are able to talk to their children and be able to figure out whats going on in their lives and what they are doing. They should be able to trust their kids and believe that they are really doing what there doing. But on the other end of that, the children need to be able to earn their parents trust and not lie to them or give them a reason to 'spy' on them.
I believe that if a child fails to earn their parents trust, then it is nessecary for the adult to spy on their kid. To make sure that they are being safe. If it's for their own saftey, i think its nessecary, but if they are just doing it to be nosy, then i dont think it should be acceptable.

maxed-out
I believe that once this recession end people arnt going to be as tight with their money as they are now. The only reason they are now, is because they have to.Once people can spend money again, and not have to worry about losing their jobs, or not having enough money, there going to go back to how they use to spend. They might last a while after the recession, but if the economy becomes good again, then it will only take a couple years for people to go back to normanl.
Some people might be smart enough to save there money, just incase things go back to how they were. But i think most people are going to keep spending more money then they have. And then there going to lose their jobs again probably and everyones just going to get screwed over again.
My family doesnt really change the way we spend. Some things we do, but most things we dont. We never really spent like a ton of money anyways so were pretty much good right now.

parents advice
My parents have given me a lot of advice throughout my life so far. One of the most important pieces of advice they have given me is to never expect anything from anyone. That if i want somthing to get done i have to do it myself. They taught me how to be independent and not to depend on other people to do stuff for me or get stuff done for me. I believe this advice is very important because in college and even after college i am going to have to be independent and learn how to do things on my own without counting on other people.I use this advice everyday. Especially during softball. I am trying to get a scholorship and i know that i am the only one that can make that happen. I cant count on other people to call the coaches or go out and practice with me. I have to make sure i get it dont myself. I can have help from my coaches and my family, but in the end its going to be me that makes it happen. So learning that i need to be independent and do all these things on my own, will help me in the long run with a scholorship.

Revenge
In the 2007 spring softball season, the varsity team was unstoppable. They were undefeated in league and loaded with power hitters and a killer defence. The team had made it to sections and they were to play Enterprise at our home field. After a lot a preperation, hard work, dedication, sweat and tears, West Valley thought they were ready for a victory. The game was tougher than what they were ready for and they didnt play to their potential. They ended up losing the section game on their home field, to a team that they should never have lost to.
After that game, the players swore that they would never let that happen again. And thats exactly what they said when the 2008 spring softball season came around again. We worked our butts off, scrimmaging when we could, getting into extra tournaments, conditioning and putting in long hours of practice. Our team got closer every team dinner and team activity that we had. After we won league, it was time for sections. And as always, we got to play Enterprise.
We were more prepared and excited for this game than we have been about anything all season. So this time around we started off the game with 2 homeruns to get us up. We ended up beating them 6-0. I would say that was revenge for our softball program. And now with the new season coming up in about 4 months, we have players practicing in the off season so when we come back for the section game again, we can kill bitches.

and then there was one
I agree with this article because i think that since all 3 automakers are suffering they might as well go together to make things better for them. They said that by the end of the year they will be broke if they keep things how they are. They dont have the money too keep building as many cars as they are currently, which is more then americans are even buying, so they need to produce less in my opinion.
If they keep things how they are, there going to go bankrupt, so they need to make a drastic change. All three companys are pretty much screwed right now, so i think they should come together and make the 3 dying businesses one really successful, powerful car making business.
The companies are losing a combined $30 billion just this year, $6 billion a month. I think that with those numbers being so high its clearly time for a change, and be able to get some of that money back so they dont screw over the whole economy.

interested in college
I believe that this is important because it's about the future of our generation. It's giving us facts and statistics about the number of people going to college and what there options really are. This artical helps inform students about the different recources and programs that can help them get informed on ways to go to college and the different types of help they can recieve.
I think college OPTIONS is helpful because it helps students with college. Most people dont know about all the applications they have to fill out, the deadlines, the tests, the scholorships , the visits or anything that has to get done to be able to be eligible for college, with college OPTIONS, it makes things easier for the student.
In Shasta county , theres a 18.8 % post- highschool degree rate, compared to the 29.5% of state wide. The numbers accurate and although it seems low, its because it is. 18.8 % have a bachelors degree at least, only 11.9% go to college. Thats a very low number for Shasta county.
I think that theres such a difference because in Shasta County there are a lot of people that go into family owned businesses or they own ranches and farms. You don't have to go to college to do any of those things so after highschool they just stay at home and help the family business.

Bridge to Nowhere
The bridge to Nowhere is a bridge that the people of Alaska want to have built for them to get them from theier island to the next island with the airport. They believe they have a growing population and need the other island for homes and businesses so be built on. Also, so they have easier access to the airport. It's somthing that they have been wanting for over 30 years. And now that Sarah Palin is running for office, she has mentioned it and said that she is stopping the bridge to nowhere. It also says that she hasnt been totally truthful about what she is doing and she is just bragging about it to make herself look better. When people here about this issue, they take it as a joke. They think that this island is in the middle of nowhere and small. Dave Kiffer thinks that that is a misjudgment. After reading this arcticle, i agree with Kiffer. He made strong points and showed statistics about how their island really is important and should be take seriously. That includes getting a new Bridge. The island Ketchikan, is 90 minutes north of Seattle, it had a year round population 14,00, its the 4th largest community in the state and more then 250,00 people vacation there each summer , mostly on cruises. So i think that they do need to have a bridge built. It would give them more of an oppourtunity so expand their community and let it grow like it needs to,

save more, consume less
Yes i do agree that we do need to save more and consume less. Were are in an economic problem right now and as a Nation we need to help fix it. We have been getting deeper and deeper into debt over the years and its time that we make a change. I like how Zakaria thinks that this problem is somthing that can help us become more stronger as a Nation. He thinks that since we have to make a change now, in the long run it will pay off. Help us become more independent and stronger.
As a nation we have always spent more then we have.We buy more than we make. And now we are so far into debt ( $10.2 trillion), the National Debt Clock in New York city ran out of space to display the figures. So the resolution? They said they will purchase a new clock. Thats ridiculous. So instead of trying to fix the problem, there just going to buy a new clock.

reaction to stephen king
In my opinion companies should be able to market prescription drugs to consumers because even though there are side effects, they list them on the bottle. It's the consumers choice to know if they want to put their health at risk by taking the medication. So i think, that as long as the companies state what the side effects are, it's the consumers job to be responsible about the product they are purchasing. If companies advertise for people to see, they will know the information about it as well as the doctors so it would be more clear to them. So all in all, the companies should advertise their products for every day people to see.

samuelson
I think the point that Samuelson is trying to make is that we really arnt in depression yet. we are on the decline, but it is not yet a depression. In the 1930's we had the Great Depression, this is no where near the Grweat Depression.
He does believe that this situation is similar, but also different in a lot of ways. Studies show that we have actually been through 10 recessions from the Great Depression to now, so in theory, this is somthing that we will come back from.
The stock market has only dropped 30 points from its peak compared to 90 points that it dropped during the Great Depression. The 700 billion dollar bailout program was designed to stabalize banks, so it should be nearly impossible to fall into a depression.

My Future
Next year my plans for the future are to play college softball. The schools i want to go to are either, Sac state, Chico state, sonoma state, Bakersfield, Oregon state or if it came down to it, shasta college. If i went to Shasta college i could play softball and soccer there. And i could live at home and save money. But me and Al already decided that if we both go to Oregon State were going to get and apartment together and live together. And he is going to be playing football so he's always going to have his hott football friends staying over at our house. If i went to Sac state i would either live in the dorms or stay with my aunt and uncle that live there. Im excited for next year, but also kind of nervous. But im ready for my life to change so i think it will be good.

nice bailout, now pay for it
No i dont think we should help them out. They are the ones that screwed up, and we shouldnt have to pay higher taxes for it. It's time for them to finally take action for what they did.If we help them out this time, whose going to help out next time? It will be us again, and each time were going to have to pay more for their mistakes. There going to keep spending more than they have and being greedy because they know, there will be help when they cant control it anymore. So instead of always paying more out of our pockets for things that shouldnt even effect us, they should recieve there consequences and learn from it .

binge drinking, lowering the drinking age
Lowering the age for drinking would help binge drinking end in my opinion. When people have to wait untill there 21 to drink, they cant find anything better to do, so they get wasted and get in trouble for it. If the age was 18, they wouldnt have to wait so long to drink and it wouldnt be such a big deal. They would be more responsible and wouldnt have to sneak around as much.

LHC
In my opinion, It's not worth the risk. Somthing bad can happen at any momenet , and they dont know when or where it could. There trying to recreate somthing that happend long ago, and shouldnt be recreated. It cost extra money and its too big of a risk to take without knowing more facts.
I believe scientist should not turn it on and just leave it how it is.

The price of our addiction
Have we started on an alternative energy plan? Are we close to having a solid energy plan? What should you do? Have you and your family changed driving habits? Heating? What do you see as the best alternative?
No, we havn't started on an alternative plan, the fact of the matter is, were not even close to having a solid energy plan. In order to improve this problem, we must see some changes in our daily life. For starters, we all need to know when and how to use energy. Conserve the energy so when it is needed, it will be there. Another alternative would be Solar panels. The solor panels conserve energy, and also create it , without the cost.
As for the driving, my family and I have defenitly changed the way we drive. I no longer just go somewhere and drive, because of the price of gas. I also dont go as fast as i usually would because it uses up more gas. My brother, Derek, just purchased a street bike because it is saving him money on the ridiculous gas prices. My mom got a job closer to home, so she wouldnt have to spend money on driving far to work.
For heating, my family has a woodstove. We dont use our heater so the cost of that is covered. A wood stove would be very conservative because your not using any energy or power to run it.
I think the best alternative would be for people to just change there daily life. Only using appliences when it's absolutly necessary. Unplug what you dont need. Small changes add up to big differences.

Sir agravaine

Sir Agravaine was known for being envious, disagreeable, unsymphathetic , hateful, and full of evil. Most people did not enjoy his company to say the least. His nicknames were " The Arrogant" and "The Proud" Sir Agravaine. He was the second child of King Lot of Orkney, his older sibling also being a male. In his youth, he fought in the Saxon wars with his brothers. There he liberated prisioners on the Hill of Wretches. After that, Sir Agravaine was rewarded with Knighthood and was welcome into the order of the Round Table. Unlike most of the Knights, he was not heroic. He was very handsome and a brilliant fighter, but he was mostly known for the bad. He was known as the murderer for Sir Lamorak and Sir Dinadan. Sir Agravaine was killed by Sir Lanclot after having a dispute with him about the affairs Sir Lanclot was having with Queen Guinevere.
